NFL – Does the “N” really stand for National?

If so, why?

I have not watched any NFL game since two years ago except the Super Bowl this past January, or was it February, hell, I don’t remember and really do not care. I refuse to spend the Lord’s Day watching scum sucking anti-Americana millionaires play with a ball and think they are heroes. Oh, I do watch college football , and I have my favorite teams e.g., Bama and the Volunteers for example. I doubt very seriously if I will see any knee bending or disrespect there, but one never knows??  I cannot and will not watch these scumbags taking a knee or disrespecting something I served for much of my life and for which I shed blood.

If any of you do watch the NFL, and I don’t have a problem with that — it’s your choice and I respect that, may I ask a favor? I would like to know if you see any advertisements from USAA. They have been my bank, mortgage company, brokerage account, IRAs, and insurer of home, boats, and cars for over 46 years. I do know they advertised last year, but I don’t know about this season. If they are doing that it would be the biggest example of hypocrisy I’ve ever witnessed. If I find they are advertising on the NFL network, the CEO will get a letter from me that will burn his hands while he reads it — guaranteed! And I just may pull all my accounts from them?I would like for someone to provide me a list of all the companies who advertise  NFL games. I will research them and get there contact information and publish on this blog in case anyone else wants to write them bitching and threatening to stop buying their product. We can write all the correspondence we want to addressed at the NFL and it will do no good. They must be hit in the pocketbook. I understand companies that advertise NBA games have already started complaining because they are not getting the viewership promised in their contracts. The NBA has already leaked out they intend to change things next season reference the outspoken scum like Lebron Scumbag James. We can do this folks, I know we can. Let’s become a united voice.

This video is a must watch, and if you are like me, you might need a Kleenex.

  1. What took you so long? I stopped watching professional sports in 1988. Didn’t want my name associated with the idea of paying people millions of dollars for playing a “GAME”. Next it will be millions for video gamers in the National Video League (NVL). 😩

    1. LOL, slow learner Bill. I guess too much other “stuff” going in my life other than the NFL.

  2. According to the San Antonio Business Journal, USAA and the NFL signed a multi-year agreement this year.

By the way, I’m with you-I no longer watch or support in any way the NFL.
Finally, many thanks to Jim and the patriots who read and comment on this site. I won’t support people or organizations who are disrespectful to you and the sacrifices that you have made.

    1. Well, I’ll be dammed, that settles that! Thanks Bob. Everyone can stand by for a copy of my letter to USAA to be sent email and snail mail to the CEO to be posted tomorrow. From the link Bob sent, it appears they have been getting some flack all along, but one of their military affairs committee members (all are retired service members) gave some BS line about supporting both sides. REALLY?

  3. Amen , happened into a tiny country tavern last Sunday in the western part of my beloved state of Wisconsin. I used to be a packer fan, along with most of our friends and neighbors. This bar had the game on where joe idiot buck and Troy fakeman spout their bs on a “hot Mike”..we missed that part and pretty much the first half because the 15 people in the bar were talking about how nobody gives a damn about watching the game anymore. A couple years ago you wouldn’t have been able to hear the game cuz of cheering. Thankfully the beer was cold and the conversation was pure. I’ll not ever watch the bs or listen to it on the radio or give 2 shits about any of them, what a waste of time they proved they were. That letter says it all. Semper Fi

  4. I have never been a sports fan but I am still horrified that these teams allow such disgraceful behavior on the field and even furthers it by allowing shirts and printing on the courts and fields. I shudder to think they can be so disrespectful of our nation and our best citizens that defend and protect them. Were I a sports fan I would rather watch high school or even grade school sports rather then watch such disconnected and ungrateful fools. And yes, this video choked me up.

  5. I’m with you 100%. Since that POS capernic took the first knee, my house hold has not watched an “N”FL game. Actually, we stopped watching when the league decided to strike for whatever it was they didn’t like years ago. Point well taken on the sponsors. I, too, have been a USAA member since the eighties and will not hesitate to join you in a letter writing campaign should they be a sponsor. Keep up the great work, Colonel.

    1. Great, thank you sir! We’ll see if any of my followers give us a report about USAA. Again, thank you for your comment!!
