    I thought I would pass this along to you, as I think it can gain momentum and send a message… I hope all is well with you and yours

    Oh, and I have been trying to continue my post on this subject from your post, but I think LinkedIn is preventing me… If you were interested, my point of view is the following : I can certainly appreciate your opinions and views… You have made some valid points… But let me, if I may try to express what I feel the true problem is in Black America.

    I feel that black America points the finger at white america when something sensational occurs within the black community. It seems to me that black America has an epidemic that needs serious attention. White america also has an epidemic within its culture.

    Let me start with the issues I see that Kaepn Krunch is protesting. “The oppression of the black man in the USA”, and for, “police disproportionately targeting and killing African-Americans.”

    Let’s examine those key words and apply some statistics to the problem, 25% of black households live below the poverty line as opposed to 8% for white households. Blacks are twice as likely to be unemployed opposed to whites. The unemployment rate for blacks has been twice as high as whites over the last 50 years.

    Gun violence in America is rising. Blacks are suffering the most because they are six times more likely to commit a homicide opposed to whites and seven times more likely to be a victim of homicide than whites. So what is the problem here?

    From my point of view, the problem stems from a President who says he is in it for Black America, yet does nothing to help Black America! Oppression? Who is oppressing who? We have a president in office who “has had time to advocate for gays – getting them gay marriage, repealing the US military’s gag order on opening gay and lesbian soldiers serving in the military.

    Through executive order, Obama prevented millions of illegal aliens age 31 and under from being deported from America…” But blacks, who voted at a rate of 95 per cent for Obama in 2008 and 93 per cent in 2012, have gotten nothing in return for their efforts. Why do you suppose that Black America voted so high for our President? Why do you suppose that 71% of Latinos (including nearly half of Cuban Americans), 75% of Asian Americans and 93% of African-Americans voted for Obama?

    My theory is that Black America truly believed that he would change our nation’s policies and lend a hand up not a hand out to the people who were living below the poverty line. Instead, what we got is more free hand outs for the poor, more welfare, more promises of easy living… why work when the system will take care of you and yours?

    The government and its current DOMESTIC POLICIES in my opinion, not the citizens of our country have oppressed the blacks. The SYSTEM AS A WHOLE, not the citizens, have oppressed the blacks… Many people of all races will continue to turn out in fantastic numbers to vote for a President who will continue these GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS.

    How about a system that continues to let down the Black youth over and over again? You want to protest something? Protest the current POTUS AND HIS POLICIES. Protest the man at the helm who was to be the Black Messiah. Don’t use our American Flag or our National Anthem to demonstrate your frustrations, our flag and our national anthem is so much better than that.

    Too many people have fought and died for that flag, do not desecrate it in an attempt to make a statement – YOU are better than that! We are better than that! I honestly do not see a difference between ignoring the Anthem as a citizen of the USA, or burning our flag as an enemy combatant… in MY opinion, they are 1 in the same.

    I would like to share with you, an excerpt from the writing of Ruth Apperson Rous titled, “I AM THE FLAG”:

    “Today fifty stars signal from my union, one for each of the fifty sovereign states in the greatest constitutional republic the world has ever known. My colors symbolize the patriotic ideals and spiritual qualities of the citizens of my country. My red stripes proclaim the fearless courage and integrity of American men and boys and the self-sacrifice and devotion of American mothers and daughters. My white stripes stand for liberty and equality for all. My blue is the blue of heaven, loyalty, and faith. I represent these eternal principles: liberty, justice, and humanity. I embody American freedom: freedom of speech, religion, assembly, the press, and the sanctity of the home.”

  1. The more the secrets of the upper ranks of the Executive Branch and the Legislative Branch are revealed to me the more discouraged I get. Between the politicians, the appointees and the upper GS types in the civil service, I am convinced that job one for all of them is themselves.

    Since government isn’t a business and they control the printing of money and the taxation and regulation of damn near every action of the people of our country….we’re screwed. That is dictatorship – like. I hate it and them. I could go on, but I think we are completely on the same page.

  2. Obama has never cared about the black community. Like the “high yellow” of the slave era he feels he is above the average black person and only lowers himself to be around them when he must. He could care less that they shoot and kill each other. Keeping them down with handouts and welfare, in his eyes is all they are worthy of in life.
