Castro is DEAD!!!!

Yes, he is reportedly dead, Miami’s Little Havana community celebrates. I hope we have enough therapy dogs to handle all the snowflakes’ new grief? Ronald Reagan at his best.

Fidel Castro, the Marxist degenerate who took over Cuba and turned it into an impoverished island prison, has died, and not a moment too soon.

Castro will forever be romanticized by the American left for his revolutionary chic attire and anti-western swagger, and because hipsters freaking love beards. But make no mistake, this man was an absolute monster.  The Babalu Blog, an anti-Castro oasis on the internet, chronicles some of his worst atrocities:

The Cuba Archive which documents deaths and disappearances resulting from Fidel Castro’s Cuban revolution has documented 3,615 firing squad executions conducted by the Cuban state since Castro took over on January 1, 1959.

Opponents of the death penalty should be horrified at the amount of death Fidel Castro and his accomplices have directly caused. It’s important to note that in Revolutionary Cuba there are none of the due process guarantees found in a western-style democracy. Most of Castro’s firing squad victims were afforded only a perfunctory show trial the outcome of which was predetermined, some didn’t even get that. Ernesto “Ché” Guevara is a popular culture icon, his face adorns posters and t-shirts around the globe. Most people don’t realize that he was Fidel Castro’s chief enforcer and had a personal hand in at least 100 firing squad executions, often delivering the coup de grace personally. In response to questions about Castro’s firing squads Guevara once said, “To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary. These procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail. This is a revolution. And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate.”

Castro’s effort to remake the country as a Marxist paradise turned a beautiful island nation into a prison colony. Over the years Castro ruled Cuba with an iron fist, hundreds of thousands of Cubans fled the island on anything that could float, establishing a vibrant, freedom loving community in Miami. Last night, they came together to celebrate the tyrant’s death. Per CNN:

News of Fidel Castro’s death was quick to reach Miami, Florida, the center of the Cuban exile community, where an outpouring of emotion brought jubilant crowds onto the streets of Little Havana.

Some popped champagne corks, others clanged pots and waved the Cuban flag as they cheered the death of a man who defined the lives of so many of their number through decades in exile in the United States.

Hundreds gathered outside the neighborhood’s Versailles restaurant, a longtime haunt of the exile community, spilling out on to the street from the sidewalk as they chanted, sang, danced and took smart phone videos of a historic moment.

We at American Action News stand with those folks in Miami, and we hope that Castro’s death puts us one step closer to consigning communism and its related totalitarian, collectivist ideological cousins to the dustbin of history where they belong.

A MUST READ!

I encourage all to copy and paste the link below to read Colonel Andy’s tribute to the events of  23 October 1983. Do you remember where you were when you heard of the incident? I do. I was the CO of RS, Chicago. The city mourned for days as two of those lost in that horrible incident were natives.

When you read his tribute, keep in mind his last two sentences as we are no more prepared today, in fact even less prepared, then we were in 1983.

God Bless you Andy for reminding us all of that tragedy, and especially General Kell’s and President Reagan’s comments.

We Need Him Now!

Dear Friends, I was not going to post today. I was  the guest speaker at a ceremony in a community where Nancy and I used to have place to stay as snowbirds. Kind of took it out of me. I told the story of Cpl Gary Wayne Olson, Chapter 34 in my book. Telling the whole story required setting the stage which really was quite emotional for me. But I got through it and they all seemed to enjoy it. I saw a few wet eyes as I talked. I know I had to pause now again my self., especially when reading his poem in his own hand writing.

Anyway, as I said I wasn’t going to post today as emails were flying all over cyber space yesterday and today and I just wanted to relax and have some Scotch, read them, and reply. But then I received one with an attachment that I am certain you all have seen several times. The emailer, Richard, a fellow Marine with whom I have served said. “America needs this.” I knew what it was but still watched it — TWICE. Richard you were correct, America really does need this today, and we need someone just like him.

How he was able to give that talk from the heart and not have wet eyes is beyond me. Watch it if even if you’ve seen it, then pray we will find someone to like him to bring us out of this awful mess we are in. God bless you, God bless the United States of America, and God bless the 1.1 million Americans who gave it all, and are probably rolling over in their graves screaming at us wanting to know how did we allow this to happen.

Making America 1979 Again

Good Morning Gang, it’s Saturday, the day before the traditional Memorial Day, initially referred to as Decorations Day by MajGen Logan after the Civil War. Personally, I celebrate on the traditional Day, 30 May. So, I will lower my flag tomorrow morning and raise it back up at noon. Changing the day so federal workers could get another day off with pay didn’t impress me since my experience with those snakes in the grass (in the Corps, we called them “Sand Crabs”) has been  most don’t earn a day’s pay anyway. But then that’s my personal opinion and preference.

So what are the swamp creatures up to as they begin their long weekend cook out? Well, the big talking point this week has been inflation. What is that? Well simply, it is the rising cost of goods and services.  There is cost-push inflation where the cost of goods is caused by a rise in the cost of production e.g., gas. Then there is demand-pull inflation where the rise in prices is caused by an increasing demand and firms push up prices due to the shortage of goods e.g., toilet paper. LOL.

The swamp doesn’t fear inflation, just like Peanut Jimmy didn’t in the 70s, but beware folks, the signs are there, they are just being ignored.

By: G. Maresca

You do not have to be a scholar with a dollar to notice how prices are increasing. The Consumer Price Index that measures costs for goods and services increased 4.2% in April. Gas jumped 9%, while housing prices rose 17%.

The Powerball Lottery jackpot is now a tank of gas, a bag of groceries and a sheet of plywood.

A late seventies ambiance has returned with the cyber-attack on the Colonial pipeline cyber-attack and its resulting gas lines. Add to it emboldened Iranian Ayatollahs in a cooking Middle East; an increasing U.S. crime rate; a refugee crisis at the southern border, and a simmering Cold War II. The recent visit Joe and Jill Biden had with Jimmy and Roslyn Carter makes it official that the torch has been finally passed. Their photo op, if you have not seen it, is one for Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

The Carter’s even gifted to Hunter Biden their home-brewing recipe to Billy Beer.

It is time travel Democrat style and for those 41 and younger, welcome to 1979.

At least back then the music was better, and you didn’t need a second mortgage to attend a major league baseball game. Kids went to school and actually played outside, and mask wearing was strictly for Halloween.

It was also in the summer of ‘79 that Carter gave his infamous “malaise speech” about “the erosion of our confidence.” Today, Biden successfully dismantles the myth of white privilege and primacy every time he comes in contact with a microphone.

The Labor Department’s latest jobs report had employers adding only one-quarter of an anticipated one million jobs, while unemployment claims actually increased. Many are choosing not to work since being paid to stay home is now an option. Such a major disincentive to work is unprecedented and brings with it the predictable consequence of labor’s availability. With jobs plentiful combined with escalating unemployment benefits only serves to grease the rails for socialism.

Former Treasury Secretary under Bill Clinton and former head of the National Economic Council for Barack Obama, Larry Summers spoke truth to power when he warned against too much stimulus.

There is no true stimulus, only irrational leftist reasoning that justifies increased deficit spending that is endorsed by bogus good intentions that leads down a path to fiscal ruin.

No one on either side of the aisle gave Summer’s reasoning a second thought.

Biden and his Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen actually claimed, “there is no significant inflation.” Record-low interest rates coupled with a rise in prices is what happens when central banks have a surplus of money that outstrips demand. As we stifle the supply side with handouts, while printing dollars by the trillions the result is Inflation. Prudent advice to any weather forecaster is to look out the window first. Perhaps this dynamic economic duo needs to go grocery shopping and fill the gas tank before making their next inflation forecast.

In a recent press conference, Vice President Kamala Harris ignored a question about inflation with her infamous laughing crackle as she quickly walked away. Perhaps she was on her way to the southern border?

The fear of inflation is why the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield is up 80%, and the 5-year U.S. Treasury yield is up 123%.  Spending and printing comes with consequences as you cannot print your way to prosperity.

Perhaps Biden should consider surrounding the White House with an orchard since he and his economic team believe money grows on trees. The only problem would be when Biden ends up chopping down all the trees for the paper to print even more money.

When the Federal Reserve finally admits that there is too much inflation, interest rates will rise and polarize the economy followed by a toxic bout of stagflation. Such economic malaise hurts the same people that the spend and tax Biden Democrats say they want to help.

Moreover, any stock market gains will be deceiving thanks to inflation where any capital gains taxes will be a direct result of the dollar’s decline.

In 1979, the Carter coast-to-coast malaise paved the way for Ronald Reagan’s conservative reform.

History would do well to not only rhyme but repeat itself.

Happy Memorial Day everyone. While cooking steaks, burgers, dogs, and drinking your favorite libation, please remember the nearly 1.1 million Americans who gave their lives  so we could celebrate this day! And remember to lower you flag to half mast on which ever day you traditionally celebrate and raise it back to full staff at noon.. Semper Fi, Jim

The Gipper

Greeting Folks, today is the Lord’s Day so I am taking a respite from the chaotic society in which we find ourselves. For one day, I shall let the swamp sink itself further down into the muck and post something calming. I hope you enjoy the break. It comes from  what I believe, and many of agree, the best Governor in this United States of America, the Honorable Mr. Ron Desantis proclaimed yesterday as Ronald Reagan Day within our State.

In Governor DeSantis’ words:

Ronald Reagan was one of the greatest presidents our nation has ever had and left an iconic legacy that continues to inspire. I’m pleased to proclaim today, Feb. 6, as Ronald Reagan Day in Florida in honor of The Gipper.

No photo description available.

I challenge you to compare this couple

To these pieces of political garbage. Not in any particular order; they were all garbage and hell bent on destroying our once great Nation
