The Corps Part III

I hope all enjoyed a feast yesterday and now have lots of “stuff” to sustain several meals left over.  I love cold turkey sandwiches’ with lettuce, and some cranberries spread about. Yum!

Okay, continuing the sad saga of the destruction of all that was good about the once recognized as the toughest military organization in the world — actually the most feared by our enemies. Read about it, it’s in the history books . Remember Belleau Woods?

Anyway, I keep getting mor emails telling me more and more of what’s happening. Which is good since I read no newspapers nor watch any news. Thanks to those contributing! So, here is more from the “boss.”

US Marine Corps Adopts New Commitment to Diversity and Representation Within Its Ranks

Recognizing the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of life, including the military, the U.S. Marine Corps has announced a new plan designed to help the storied institution “reinvent” itself to look more like modern America.

NPR’s Emma Bowman and Rachel Martin reported that “the Marine Corps, the smallest U.S. military force, has plans for a big overhaul designed to address its lack of diversity and problem with retaining troops.” Now there are two reporters that everyone believes, right? They can be trusted to report nothing but facts. LOL

Gen. David Berger, Commandant of the Marine Corps, told NPR that “the goal that’s driving what amounts to a cultural shift within the service is for the Marines ‘to reflect America, to reflect the society we come from.’”

In the interview, Gen. Berger was quick to point out that the change was not meant to reflect “political correctness” or an attempt at being “woke.” Instead, the policy change was a general reflection that all institutions, including the Marines, are better when they include voices, insight and knowledge from a variety of different backgrounds, races and ethnicities. In short, Gen. Berger said America’s strength comes from its diversity, adding that it is also true for the military.

“Our advantage militarily is on top of our shoulders,” Gen. Berger told NPR. “It’s not actually our equipment. We are better than anybody else, primarily because we don’t all think exactly alike. We didn’t come from the same backgrounds.”

Oh really, I thought Boot Camp and OCS took care of that difference and made us all Marines? I guess we don’t want that anymore??

To help bring his vision to fruition, the general and other Marine leaders have created a new plan titled “Talent Management 2030” that includes a number of different measures the Marine Corps will implement in the coming years to not only help increase diversity within recruitment but also aid in improving career flexibility and retainment with the military branch.

“About 75% of troops leave the Marine Corps at the end of their four-year term, the highest turnover rate among the military services,” Bowman and Martin reported. “To compete in an age of cyber warfare and space-based weaponry, the Marines wants (sic) to shake its ‘manpower’ model that historically prized youth, physical fitness and discipline over education, training and technical skills. According to the new plan, the aim is to grow a corps that is ‘more intelligent, physically fit, cognitively mature and experienced.’”

Gen. Berger said although he is eager to see the changes take shape, he was also realistic with his plan, realizing that it will take time for a reform of this scale to work its way through the Marine Corps, especially reaching senior leadership. He said this is especially true with the Marines since the branch didn’t open its ranks to women until 2016. What? That’s a spin, a play on words. Currently, less than 10% of active-duty Marines are female compared to the 20% to 25% range of other military branches.

“We are a purely combat force,” he said, pointing out how the Marines differ from Army, Navy and Air Force. “We were built under a different set of circumstances — but that is changing.”

Yes sir general it certainly is!

Rac-nophobia —

— six boats, thirteen Marines, and an attitude

Returned last night from the only Marine reunion I attend — the RACPAC. If you know not of whom I speak, shame on you as you’ve not read “The Book.” If you have but don’t remember, go to chapter 46 and refresh. This one was special as Lt Tim Armstrong USMC was there for the first time, but he is now Col, USMC (Ret). What a joy it was to see Tim again. Anyway, it was, as always, a grand time to see these Marines again; it’s always great joy to see how every one of them turned out, not a dammed liberal among them!!! All very successful in their afterlife, especially the young enlisted  Marines who were not careerists, but chose to take their hard learned knowledge to the civilian world and succeed!

I’ve often asked myself over the years since retirement, especially every September as I fly to Virginia Beach, what did I do to deserve to serve alongside such giants of our Corps. As my coxswain and I were cruising down the Appomattox  River one sunny afternoon, he asked, “Popeye, can you believe the Marine Corps is actually paying us to do this ?” Of course, my reply was, “No Crazy I can’t, but they sure are!”  Having said that, do not dismay as this was a grueling and very demanding eighteen months with no guidance from MCDEC or HQMC, often working under arduous weather conditions and usually six and sometimes seven days a week. And here they are in all their glory.                     Lord, what memories!!

Now to the sad state of affairs of our once great nation. Another good one from my friend Greg; thanks Greg, I love your missives, and so do my followers.

Hooking off the jab

In the sweet science, a skilled pugilist will be able to hook off their jab. The same holds for COVID era politicians and their obsession with vaccine mandates and boosters.

President Biden leads the mandate vaccine charge yet allows tens of thousands to pass through the southern border daily who have not been tested let alone vaccinated.

Initially, “if vaccinated, you are not going to get COVID,” has devolved to “people who got vaccinated remain at risk.” Infections are increasing among the vaccinated as a plethora of evidence highlights how the vaccine’s efficacy is waning.

For those who were vaccinated but plan to refuse the booster shot will find themselves back at square one because COVID is here to stay, just like any other influenza virus.

Quite the bioweapon China unleashed.

Democrats politicized COVID by refusing to acknowledge that China covered up and lied about the virus. They then used the pandemic as an excuse to lockdown the country and change election rules.

A study from the University of California San Diego highlighted how the vaccine’s effectiveness dropped from 94% in June to 65% in July with a 19-fold increase of those already vaccinated. Israeli data said Pfizer’s vaccine went from a 95% effectiveness to 39% by July. Apparently, Delta is more contagious but less lethal, according to English data and runs at 0.2% ⸻ the same as the seasonal flu. The CDC said those vaccinated who contract COVID have as high a viral load in their nasal passages as those who are unvaccinated.

It is not the unvaccinated that are driving COVID’s mutations.

In February even NPR reported, “vaccines can contribute to virus mutations.”

National Institutes of Health chief Francis Collins’s blog ridiculed a study his agency financed that said by December 2020, at least 100 million Americans were infected – five times the official count.

The pro-vaccine army that permeates government, the pharmaceutical industry and the mainstream media have cross-pollinated into a universal censorship android that prevents any information that conflicts with their narrative and balance sheets. They conveniently ignore the adverse health conditions and deaths resulting from the jab.

Texas is being sued by the Biden administration to protect a woman’s right of choice to an abortion. Yet, when it comes to a woman’s right to choose to vaccinate – forget it. It is only a choice when it can stop a baby’s beating heart.

Cells from an aborted fetus were used to test and produce the vaccine. Biden’s support of abortion only manifests itself in his vaccine mandate.

If this is about saving lives, access to every resource should be a given. The leftist media ignores or simply denies that Hydroxychloroquine has any efficacy in treating COVID when it has. Moreover, natural antibodies are a nonfactor even though studies say they provide greater immunity, both in breadth and duration. For those with immunity, vaccination is unnecessary and potentially grievous. However, there is no money or control in natural immunity underscoring how this is not about health care.

COVID conveniently removes the spotlight from the Afghanistan debacle, while Democrats would love to extend COVID through an unverifiable 2022 midterm mail-in ballot election. Initially, boosters were needed after eight months, then five, and arguably now for just susceptible groups like the elderly. With so many different versions and timelines, it is no wonder what the government and politicians say has no meaning.

Just months ago, Biden said he “would not demand that it be mandatory.” However, in Biden’s recent COVID vaccine mandate address, he flipped-flopped declaring: “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin.”

Since Biden is so impatient, perhaps he should resign.

Patience with Biden’s poor decisions from Afghanistan to the southern border is what is truly “wearing thin.” Apparently, unable to help himself or the nation, Biden compounded the issue by rejecting the Constitution he swore to uphold saying, “This is not about freedom or personal choice.”

Mandates are not only unconstitutional but polarizing and inherently un-American.

Mandates underscore how the left’s default position is always force.

What happened to unifying the country? Biden would rather lay blame while mandating vaccine compliance or lose your livelihood.

If it is your prerogative to jab your way into oblivion, knock yourself out.

Got Your Stimulus Check Yet?

Okay fellow conservatives, here’s a test for you, find how many of the “gifts” in the new stimulus bill have something to to do with the China Flu. Ready? Get set —–GO!

Curious about where the Covid relief & is going?  Look it up on the Congressional website for HR 748 from 116th Congress. Here’s the direct link:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/ 116th-congress/house-bill/748

Let’s break this hummer down and see if we can find anything that has anything to do with the Chinese Flu or the pandemic.

American population: 330,483,530

Stimulus bill: $2,000,000,000,000 ($2 Trillion)

Dividing the cost by every American is $6,051.74 The government could have given every person over $6,000, but instead will give $1,200 to each adult under a certain income. Want to know where the missing 96% of your tax dollars went?  Here you go:

  1.       $300,000,000 for Migrant and Refugee Assistance pg.. 147.
  2.       $10,000 per person for student loan bailout.
  3.       $100,000,000 to NASA, because –  who knows?
  4.       $20,000,000,000 to the USPS, because why the hell not.
  5.       $300,000,000 to the Endowment for the Arts – because ??
  6.      $300,000,000 for the Endowment for the Humanities/ because no one even knew that was a thing.

  8.       $435,000,000 for mental health support.
  9.       $30,000,000,000 for the Department of Education stabilization fund/ because that will keep people employed (all those zeros can be confusing, that’s $30 BILLION).
  10. $200,000,000 to Safe Schools Emergency Response to Violence Program. Find one yet?
  11.   $300,000,000 to Public Broadcasting / NPR has to be bought by the Democrats.
  12.   $500,000,000 to Museums and Libraries / Who the hell knows how we are going to use it.
  13.   $720,000,000 to Social Security Admin / but get this, only 200,000,000 is to help people. The rest is for admin costs.
  14.  $25,000,000 for Cleaning supplies for the Capitol Building / I kid you not it’s on page 136.

  25.   $100,000,000 to Essential Air carriers pg. 162. This of note because the Airlines are going to need billions in loans to keep them afloat  ($100,000,000 is chump change.)
  26.   $40,000,000,000 goes to the “Take Responsibility to Workers and Families Act.” This sounds like it’s direct payments for workers pg. 164.

This information should be shared with everyone on your contact/mail list.

FOX News – A Turd in a Tuxedo

From a dear friend, and fellow retired Marine Brother

All, this for your consideration.  Obviously can’t vouch for it all but do believe there was some stench in the past election and more to come in GA. And I did happen to see the Fox News episode when Newt was silenced. Comes from a good source: A retired Marine LtCol  who was our Bn Air Officer in RVN.

S/F’ Vic

Thanks Vic. Good scoop at the end for those of us who have trashed FOX and are looking for a more reliable news network.

If you regularly watch Fox News and have been noticing something feels “off” with their election coverage, you’re not wrong. Around a year ago, conservative political wonks turned off Fox News for good. The reason why has to do with events that unfolded in 2019. What did these conservative news junkies see that the rest of us missed? And why does it matter now?

Event Number One: The Passing of the Torch

Rupert Murdoch was the media titan who built and developed Fox News into America’s conservative news juggernaut. Murdoch had six children. Of the six, his two sons Lachlan and James were in contention to take over Fox News even though both of them had openly repudiated Rupert’s conservative politics. In 2019, Lachlan officially took over the reins of Fox News. James, the more liberal of the two, opted to invest a large portion of his multi-billion-dollar inheritance in liberal media ventures. Once Lachlan took charge, his goal was to move Fox News left. His moves were no surprise to insiders considering his public ties to climate change activism, donating to the Clinton Foundation, and proudly taking responsibility for pushing Bill O’Reilley off the network. It’s worth noting that Fox Business is a separate entity from Fox News, even though both channels are owned by a new, scaled-back Fox Network.

Event Number Two: Fox News Hires the Haters

In March 2019, Fox News made a shocking move by hiring former DNC Committee Chief, Donna Brazile. She was famously fired from the DNC and CNN for leaking debate questions to Hillary Clinton prior to a 2016 Presidential Debate against Donald Trump. Another WTF hire was the failed VP Candidate, Paul Ryan. Ryan was named to the Fox News Board of Directors in March 2019. The well-known “never Trumper’ routinely stonewalled President Trump’s agenda as the Speaker of the House. And hired Juan Williams, a devoted Dem fired from NPR.   Constantly contradicts anything good said by or about President Trump.

Event Number Three: “Shut-Up, Or Else…”

Just a month ago, Newt Gingrich’s mic was cut when he had the audacity to utter the name George Soros in an interview on Harris Faulkner’s Fox News show, Overtime Outnumbered. During the interview, the conversation moved into a discussion on political funding. Gingrich was presenting indisputable facts about Soros’s well-known financial backing of many extremely left-leaning political organizations. The mic cut surprised both Faulkner and Gingrich which led to a long, awkward, pregnant silence on air. Was Gingrich’s censorship a signal to other conservative voices?

Fast forward to this past week, Judge Jeanine Pirro, the host of Justice W/Jeanine on Fox News since 2011 announced the topic of her weekly show. The topic: Election Fraud. However, she was fired/suspended before her segment aired. Was Pirro’s firing meant to send a message to other popular Fox News hosts?

Just days after Pirro’s firing and Biden’s bogus campaign victory speech, Laura Ingram the host of the Ingram Angle stunned Republicans. On her show, she took it upon herself to offer President Trump advice on how to act graciously upon his pending election concession. It was uncharacteristic of Ingram to take this defeatist position considering she consistently supported President Trump throughout his first term. As a former clerk to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Ingram knows the law and knows the election is far from officially decided She caved to save her lucrative paying job.

Next, Tucker Carlson. With the highest ratings of any cable news show in the days leading up to November 3rd, where is he now that the blatant election fraud is being exposed? Strangely quiet given Carlson’s fierce commitment to our Republic.

Then, there’s Hannity. If anyone deserves to be called a Trump fan-boy, it’s Sean Hannity. Even he is noticeably restrained in his election coverage. Hannity knows full-well President Trump won in a landslide on Nov. 3rd and remains the winner even after the Dem’s election fuckery. Why isn’t Hannity crying foul? Then there’s Chris Wallace. His performance as a debate moderator drew such harsh criticism from both political sides, his professional reputation may not ever recover.

Here IS what’s going on at Fox News

With just 73% of the votes counted in Arizona around midnight on November 3rd, Fox News made a stunning call, falsely awarding the win of the battleground state to Joe Biden. Now that we know the true nature of Fox News, have seen blatant election fraud, and seen a pattern of silence from the top talent on the channel; is it so far-fetched to think Fox News is playing a role in all of this?

There is no question the 2020 election is rampant with fraud and it continues. Proof is mounting, whistleblowers are coming forward, even Supreme Court injunctions have been issued. All of this will be investigated and litigated through the courts. Rudy Guiliani and the rest of the Trump legal team have vowed to fight. And, for good reason. The law is on Trump’s side. Recall this past summer when President Trump repeatedly warned America about mail-in voting and election fraud? Everything that’s happening now was anticipated by the Trump team, well in advance. Nothing so far has been a surprise to The President and his team.

Now that the fraud has been executed, it relies on two key factors to actually succeed.

Play number one is “lawfare”. The election fraud is designed to stir up chaos, forcing the election to be decided by the courts, rather than at the ballot box. How the Dems are weaponizing the law to manage the election outcome is called lawfare. The Dems are great at this. Remember Hillary’s numerous provable felonies when she mishandled top secret information on her personal server? The head of the FBI, Comey, called it a “matter” not a “crime”. A crime can be legally prosecuted, a matter cannot. See what they did there? Effective lawfare. Hillary walked.

The second key play is the “information war”. This is where Fox News is playing a key role. Here’s the breakdown: Fox News delivered blatantly fake news by calling AZ a win for Biden. They delivered the lie early. So early in fact Fox News dominated the news cycle and grabbed control of the election narrative going forward. Fox News is attempting to position President Trump as the loser who is fighting a losing battle against fake election fraud in the courts, because he can’t take the L. Having Fox News deliver this news is part of the plan in order to give the lie credibility. To add extra credence to the hoax, the management at Fox News has succeeded in manipulating their top talent to support the fake narrative. The left is counting on the average Trump supporter to believe the lie since it comes from the trusted“conservative” Fox News and its top personalities. The rationale goes like this: If Fox News is reporting Trump lost AZ, it must be true. Why would Fox lie about the Republican candidate to their Republican audience?

Do not underestimate the power and effectiveness of the “information war”. It’s meant to demoralize Trump supporters, weak-kneed Republican politicians, law enforcement, the military, foreign leaders etc. The left does not want an energized, organized opposition fighting for America’s election integrity. What we’re seeing now isn’t the Dem’s kill-shot, they’re trying to soften the target. The mainstream media knows it can make any claims about who won the election without consequences, especially since it’s a coordinated attack. They need Trump supporters to give up and concede in order to win.

For the people who want a free and fair election, internalize this: the media doesn’t decide elections. Trump won in a landslide. The Dems cheated to try to win. Every legal vote will be counted so states can legally certify official results. All the criminal participants from local election officials to the head(s) of the fraud operation will be prosecuted. None of this will happen quickly, but it will happen. Trump and his team are in full control of this fight. As he came off his well-deserved round of golf over the weekend, his only quote was, “We’re gonna win. Wait.” The only outstanding question is, are you going to give the opposition what they want? Are you going to get weak, loose hope, and abandon our duly elected President?

Where to go from here?

It’s critical for us all to combat the “information war”. This means staying informed with real, accurate news and sharing it with our friends, families, and neighbors. It’s not easy because social media platforms and the coordinated mainstream media have created an information firewall. However, with a little persistence, sharing with our networks by using word-of-mouth neutralizes the firewall. By texting, emailing, and conversing we are creating our own media network that offers more information that is being hidden from everyone. So, the question becomes where to find real news to share since Fox News has proven to be a turd in a tuxedo

It’s time to switch to alternative news sources. To make the jump, it takes some temporary “getting used-to”. Be prepared for things like lower production quality, occasional technical glitches, and watching on other devices — unless you put in a little work to figure out how to connect your phone or internet to your TV. It may take downloading a new app or visiting a new site. These minor short-term inconveniences are worth it to get real, honest news.

Trump Slashes Useless Agencies

Yowser! It appears there will be lots and lots of government sand crabs looking for work soon. Take a gander at some of these agencies we have been supporting with our tax dollars; it took someone with some guts to say goodbye to them. NPR and PBS have always been left-wing broadcasting entities anyway. Let the listeners fund them or die. Once again, the “Invisible Hand” will decide.

Trump Budget Eliminates Federal Funding for 19 Agencies

In addition to reducing spending from several large government entities such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the State Department, President Donald Trump’s proposed first budget calls to eliminate federal funding for 19 federal agencies, for a total of $3 billion in cuts.

Some of the agencies, such as the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts, are relatively well-known, while others benefit foreign countries and are, in many cases, holdovers from former presidencies.

“Consistent with the President’s approach to move the nation toward fiscal responsibility, the budget eliminates and reduces hundreds of programs and focuses funding to redefine the proper role of the federal government,” a blueprint copy of Trump’s “America First” budget says.

The agencies to lose their federal funding include: the African Development Foundation; the Appalachian Regional Commission; the Chemical Safety Board; the Corporation for  National and Community Service; the Corporation for Public Broadcasting; the Delta Regional Authority; the Denali Commission; the Institute of Museum and Library Services; the Inter-American Foundation; the U.S. Trade and Development Agency; the Legal Services Corporation; the National Endowment for the Arts; the National Endowment for the Humanities; the neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation; the Northern Border Regional Commission; the Overseas Private Investment Corporation; the United States Institute of Peace; the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness; and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

According to a breakdown compiled by Business Insider:

  • Corporation for Public Broadcasting: Current budget, $445 million. CPB benefits mainly local public news stations, which receive 90 percent of the agency’s budget. National entities such as NPR and PBS also get small parts of their budgets through CPB.
  • Corporation for National and Community Service: Current budget, $1.1 billion. Cuts funding for AmeriCorps, the Clinton Administration’s program that places more than 80,000 people yearly in service projects, including the City Year program that provides volunteers for schools.
  • National Endowment for the Arts: Current budget, $148 million. Launched by President Lyndon B. Johnson and supports and promotes U.S. artists. Has been a subject of controversy for years after funding went to photographers like Andres Serrano, the person who displayed a photograph depicting a crucifix submerged in urine.
  • National Endowment for the Humanities: Current budget, $149 million. Provides grants for universities, libraries and more to strengthen studies in humanities and culture. Established by Johnson through the Arts and Humanities Act in 1965.
  • Appalachian Regional Commission: Current budget, $146 million. Partners with federal, state, and local governments to develop the economy of the Appalachian region, including 13 states reliant on the coal industry.
  • Delta Regional Authority: Current budget: $15 million. Economic-development agency serves eight-state Delta region, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
  • Denali Commission: Most recent budget, $14 million in 2015. Focuses on Alaska and at one point had a budget of $150 million. Formed in 1998 by Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, to build power plants and roads, and also offers job training.
  • Northern Border Regional Commission: Current budget, $5 million. Works with distressed counties in Northeast border states including New York, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Established through 2008 Farm Bill.
  • U.S. Trade and Development Agency: Current budget, $80.7 million. Promotes U.S. exports, assists with overseas infrastructures. Links businesses with opportunities for foreign exports and supports efforts to mitigate climate change.
  • Overseas Private Investment Corporation: Most recent budget, $83.5 million in 2016. Works with private companies to develop financial infrastructure in foreign countries. Uses private capital and works with the private sector.
  • African Development Foundation: Current budget, $28.2 million. Supports and invests in African-owned businesses to help improve economies in 20 poverty-stricken African countries.
  • Inter-American Foundation: Current budget, $22.2 million. Focuses on developing non- government and grassroots organizations in the Caribbean and Latin America regions. Has awarded nearly 5,000 grants, totaling more than $600 million since 1972.
  • Legal Services Corp.: Current budget, $502 million. Funds civil legal aid for low-income recipients in the United States, helping deal with legal issues including family law, domestic violence and family law, housing and foreclosures, and veterans affairs.
  • Neighborhood Reinvestment Corp.: Current budget, $140 million. Also known as NeighborWorks America and housed in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the agency helps urban, suburban, and rural areas’ community development organizations.
  • Institute of Museum and Library Services: Current budget, $230 million. Launched by the Clinton Administration and funds 35,000 local museums and 123,000 libraries across the country.
  • United States Institute of Peace: Most recent budget, 2011, $39.5 million. Established in 1984 by Congress under President Ronald Reagan with goal of preventing and mitigation overseas conflicts.
  • United States Interagency Council on Homelessness: Current budget, $5.4 million. Works to coordinate national solutions toward ending homelessness.
