Sanctuary

The following was published today by a good friend and fellow blogger of “God, Guns, and Guts,” which was written by another dear friend and brother Marine who goes by the moniker “Mustang.” I believe he speaks of a particular city whose former Mayor has thrown his hat in the ring after waiting till all the Democrat debates have been played out; I reckon so he would not have to answer questions from his fellow near-do-wells.. What a sly fox and a POS (in my view). 

I found the read interesting and factual, but let’s face it, considering the society in which we live, the term “factual” means very little any more.

Meanwhile the war clouds continue to form over the once great state of VA.,

And the impeachment trial of our President began today. Wow, isn’t life great in America?

Why Sanctuary?

In law, “sanctuary community” has no standing because in the United States, no one is above the law.  No state may refuse to obey federal laws in matters constitutionally assigned to federal authority.  No community within a state has the right to ignore federal authority.

When communities declare themselves sanctuary entities, they are in effect exercising a kind of civil disobedience, which may be (and should be) punished under the law.  Under American law, there is no legitimacy attached to civil disobedience —no matter what arguments may be used to justify it by law breakers.

But the issue has taken on a new dimension.  Not only do civil administrators declare their intent to ignore federal law, they produce writs that prohibit constitutionally sworn police officers from obeying federal laws, as well.  It is a dangerous conspiracy that threatens the United States, its several states, and communities within those states.

I believe that “conspiracy” is the correct word for what is happening in the United States today.  A refusal of obey federal law with respect to immigration appears related to the so-called Cloward-Piven strategy devised in 1966, the purpose of which was to overwhelm the lawful exercise of federal power to such an extent that federalism fails; a situation in which the federal government can no longer execute its Constitutional authority or mandate.

Sanctuary cities may not be the most important issue facing the Department of Justice, but if one believes that illegal immigration has reached the point where it imposes a clear and present danger to the security of the United States, its several states, its thousands of communities, then the federal government must act to settle this issue permanently.

Let’s recap:

  • Illegal immigration is illegal.
  • Illegal immigration is a burden to lawful citizens in terms of taxes, infrastructure, access to policing, medical treatment facilities, public education, and community services.
  • Illegal aliens pay less in taxes (sales taxes, etc.) than they receive through state and local services (Source: Congressional Budget Office).
  • The presence of illegal aliens poses a significant risk to lawful residents in terms of violent crimes, drugs, drunk drivers, community health and sanitation.

On 9 January 2020, Ms. Maria Fuentes, aged 92, a citizen of Richmond Hill, Queens, New York, was brutally raped and murdered at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and 127th Street in Richmond Hill by 21-year old Reeaz Khan, an illegal alien from Guyana.  Reeaz was roaming the streets of New York City despite a federal order for his deportation for prior assault and illegal weapons charges. Aren’t you New Yorkers proud of that?

He was roaming free on the streets of New York City because the New York City Police Department refused to honor a federal retainer request.  Quite naturally, the NYPD now claims that they never received such a request from federal law enforcement agencies.  Oh sure, they never got the request. LOL

The evidence of this particular case shows that Reeaz Khan pounced upon his 92-year old victim from behind, throwing her to the ground, sexually assaulting her, and then ran from the scene of his crime.

This illegal alien has now been charged with seven charges, including second degree murder, first degree manslaughter, first degree attempted rape, first degree sexual assault, and tampering with physical evidence.  Reeaz claims that he came upon the woman, found that she was passed out, and tried to render aid but in the process, his pants fell down and his genitals came in contact with hers.  I hope he has a masterful attorney.

DHS Acting Secretary Chad Wolf observed that New York City is in a state of complete breakdown of law and order and blames this partly on New York City’s sanctuary policies.  Wolf said, “NYC proudly passed sanctuary city laws and bragged about it for months.  But now the citizens of NYC are facing the deadly consequences of these sanctuary policies.  You get what you ask for folks.

In 2019, New York City experienced 300 murders, an increase of 8% over the murder rate of 2018.  Maybe sanctuary policies aren’t working as well as everyone on the left claims.  Nor should we forget the senseless murder of Kate Steinle in San Francisco, California —the home of Democrat Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Sanctuary is not a new concept.  In times past, the word refers to a wide range of protective measures that may be taken by communities on behalf of those who residents believed deserve protection.  Lately, though, we have taken the word sanctuary and added to it the word community, but in the absence of any statute that defines sanctuary city, we find the notion somewhat confusing.

Before you read this post, which is an article written by a Dr. James Veltmeyer, you need to know the author. It’s difficult for me to believe he is from of all places the home of fruits and nuts, San Diego, CA,, but lo and behold he is!

Dr. Veltmeyer had an unlikely journey to his current position as one of San Diego’s most respected doctors. The ongoing attacks by the political establishment on President Donald Trump –which began even before he was elected – are without parallel in history. The savagery, frenzy, and outright hysteria displayed by the President’s enemies within the Democrat Party, the media, and the various power centers of the globalist elites have no prior precedent.

This President has been spied on, lied about, made the subject of
phony foreign dossiers, insulted, ridiculed, scorned, mocked and
threatened. We have witnessed Hollywood celebrities advocate for
blowing up the White House, demand the President be beaten, jailed or even assassinated, and his children tortured and sexually abused. We have seen politicians in Washington try to convict the President of non-existent crimes, investigate him and his family members for everything from tax returns to guests at his hotels, project on to him crimes that they themselves have committed, and seed his Administration with leakers and double-agents.

No other President in American history has been treated in such a
shameful manner. Not Lincoln. Not FDR. Not Nixon. Not Reagan.
What is it about this President that has roused such demons in his
political foes?  What is it about this President that drives his
opponents to the brink of insanity? What is it about this President
that so terrifies and terrorizes the Pelosis, Schiffs, Schumers and
the George Soroses?

Is it simply that he is not part of the club, a brash outsider with a
different style? Is it merely because he’s outspoken and tramples on
political correctness? Is it because he’s sometimes unpresidential in
his demeanor (at least in their minds)?

Not at all. After all, aren’t these the same folks who loved Bill
Clinton whose extracurricular activities involved cigars and staining
blue dresses in the Oval Office? Of course, Clinton was beloved by the globalist elites who pull the strings on world governments. He gave them NAFTA, after all. He gave them the WTO. He made tens of billions of dollars for them and their stockholders through these unfair trade deals that cost America five million manufacturing jobs and closed 70,000 factories. He also gave the military-industrial complex plenty of profit-making military interventions, from Haiti to Bosnia to Serbia and Iraq. Bill Clinton, for all his corruption, delivered the goods for the New World Order.

Donald Trump, of course, never played ball with these globalists. He
was elected explicitly on an anti-globalist platform that put America
first. From day one, he started to implement that America-first
agenda, earning him the undying enmity of all those whose profits are secured by selling out American workers, American jobs, and America’s national sovereignty.

President Trump pulled us out of the TPP.  Billions in lost profits
for the globalists.

President Trump pulled us out of the job-destroying Paris Climate
Accords. Billions in lost profits for foreign nations like Communist

President Trump began the process of securing the U.S. border.
Billions in lost cheap illegal immigrant labor for the Business
Round table.

President Trump imposed tariffs on China, becoming the first President ever to address Beijing’s annual $500 billion rape of our economy. Billions in lost profits for corporations who ship our jobs to one of the worst tyrannies on the planet.

President Trump renegotiated NAFTA. Again, billions in lost profits
for the cheap labor crowd.

President Trump launched the process of extricating the U.S. from
endless foreign wars and avoiding new wars with nations like Iran and North Korea. Billions –perhaps trillions – in lost profits for the
globalist war machine.

Is the picture becoming a little clearer? In each instance, the
President’s policies have represented a dramatic upending of the
globalist agenda of both parties, the Carter-Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama agendas of continuous war and the continuous looting of America’s wealth and hollowing out of the American middle class. With both parties and their representatives in Congress beholden to campaign donors whose profits are threatened by Trump’s America-first initiatives, is it no wonder that both Democrats and Never-Trump Republicans,  all Globalist-Socialist, are determined to bring this President down? Most of the mass media is controlled by these same global corporations. After all, doesn’t Amazon’s Jeff Bezos – the richest man in the world – own the Washington Post?
As was said in Watergate, just follow the money.  And -while you’re
following the money—see if it leads to a $500 million left-wing slush
fund run by a   shadowy Soros and Clinton -linked group called
Arabella Advisors which is funding the anti-Trump political agenda
through dozens of high-sounding front groups.

Folks, the New World Order gang is in full retreat all over the globe.
From Brexit in the UK to the populist governments of Hungary and
Poland to the Yellow Vest movement in France and Salvini in Italy, the middle and working classes are demanding the overthrow of their nation-destroying overlords. The overlords who have flooded their countries with unassimilable immigrants from North Africa and
surrendered their sovereignty to the European Union and its
unaccountable bureaucrats in Brussels. They have lived the unfulfilled promises of the globalists, that giving up national sovereignty and relocating jobs abroad would usher in a new era of peace and prosperity. The exact opposite has happened. The globalist vision has resulted in $7 trillion of pointless wars in the Middle East, an immigration crisis, the loss of jobs, and declining standards of living.

In the United States, Donald J. Trump has emerged as the New World Order’s most tenacious and determined foe as he fights the good fight for the American people, our constitutional rights and liberties and the sovereignty of our nation. He is an existential threat to the New World Order. Unlike other Republican presidents of the recent past, he can’t be bought and has no price. Unlike them, he doesn’t give in and he doesn’t give up.

Go ahead, globalists. Try your impeachment games. Try your Senate
trials. It won’t work In fact, it will backfire on all of you as – after three years of trying to prevent the Electoral College from
voting for Trump, stopping the inauguration, unleashing Jim Comey and the FBI, CIA spying, Robert Mueller and his phony Russiangate probe, tax returns, emoluments, Kavanaugh, and all the rest – the patience of the American public is wearing thin. We aren’t as stupid as you think.

Something you will recognize clearly come November 3, 2020.

This, my friends, is the type of immigrant this country needs, not the scum we have streaming across our borders to take advantage of our system while not intending to assimilate or give anything back!

VFW Windbag

I apologize for my absence, been too darn busy, but don’t ask doing what; I haven’t the slightest. I have no idea where my daytime hours go but they certainly speed by. One thing that has garnered my attention is trying to sell this damn RV. Can you imagine a guy with two motorhomes? Well, that be me. Should not have bought the second until I sold the first, but it’s not the first time I have done something stupid like that. Bought houses without selling the one we just moved from several times. DUMB!, and for someone with a degree in  Economics you’d think he’d know better. Still trying to sell the Navion 24D, what an absolute steal for some young couple with children.

Anyway, I digress.I am a life member of the VFW thanks to my parents who moved to PA when Dad retired and to a dry county. Mom asked if I was a member and wasn’t so she asked if I’d join so they could go as associate members . This was immediate post RVN war when we were not welcome in those places. So, I joined and finally did the life membership things vice renewing every year. Great story in the “The Book” about my first visit to their VFW in 1974.

Anyway I get their trashy magazine that’s filled with nothing but advertises which I never read. And I even sometimes get emails from them when the higher ups think they have something important to say which is always a joke. Anyway, I got one today that really pissed me off so I am posting here.  Please read what the Commander of the entire VFW worldwide has to say. And even look at the date he chose to write this POS.

The hold on military promotions was endangering our national security and that of our allies, further jeopardizing the sustainability of our all-volunteer force, and negatively impacting the lives of countless service members and families. Going forward, we urge Congress to work together to resolve political disputes within the halls of Congress and permanently abandon the dangerous practice of casting partisan politics on to those wearing the cloth of our nation. Yes sir Mr Heavy, let us please remember Veterans Vote! I certainly hope like hell they vote! This fellow hasn’t a clue. I can’t believe that even the VFW has gone woke.  Congressman Tuberville’s “hold on the the flag promotions is jeopardizing the sustainability of our all-volunteer force.” WHAT? And “negatively impacting the lives of countless service members and families.” Give me break. He hasn’t a clue what the hold on the promotions was all about, but then maybe some of you are in agreement with this windbag. I shall not embarrass my readers by outlining why the astute congressman did what he did and continues with the four stars. Do you know how much a three star makes? A 3-star over 24 (that’s his max) makes $212,101.20 a year, and that’s only his base pay. So this poor fellow won’t get his 4th star until the congressman says so. And guys, he is punishing the right people, although I wish he would not have eased off lower Gen/Adm promotions. They are the problem! They are carrying out the orders of that idiot in the WH instead of standing up for what’s right.

Did you know that an officers oath of office is not the same as the oath of enlistment? The officer’s oath does require him to follow the orders of the president of the US and those officers appointed over me. The officer’s oath acts as a safeguard against power corruption by not swearing obedience to the president or other officials, but rather to the Constitution.  Many people do know there is a difference. If you want to read more about why there is a difference copy and paste the link below for a very good explanation from the Marine Corps. You just may learn something. So, these generals and admirals should be sounding an alarm vice rubber stamping everything DOD says.

I simply find it so sad that this VFW fellow is one of “them” The libitards have invaded the VFW.

As always, Ann nails it. We are not being listened to by our elected officials who do nothing but pander to us. We want a wall, but yet we don’t want a wall. Which is America? Speak up or go sit down, listen to the MSM, and shut up!

Congress has tried to sneak through amnesties three times in a little more than a decade. Every time, the American people somehow found out — despite the best efforts of the press — rose up in a rage and killed the proposed bills.

In 2006, President Bush got the brilliant idea to push amnesty on the country. His party was wiped out the very next time voters could get to the polls.

Liberals like to claim that their brave opposition to the Iraq War led to the midterm slaughter, but, as I recall, they were against that war in the 2004 presidential election, too, and Bush won. An April 2006 Washington Post–ABC News poll — taken about a month after Bush launched his amnesty crusade — showed that more Americans approved of Bush’s handling of the Iraq War than approved of his handling of immigration. In nearly every poll on Bush’s handling of immigration that year, a huge majority of the public disapproved.

Three years ago, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost his seat to an unknown economics professor, Dave Brat, by a whopping 55 percent to 45 percent, despite outspending Brat 40-to-1. It was the first time in history a member of leadership had lost a primary. (This despite Cantor being one of the “Young Guns”!) Brat had explicitly attacked Cantor for supporting amnesty.

Most spectacularly, last year, an utterly implausible presidential candidate crushed all his opponents — including the media — and won the White House by promising to deport illegals and build a wall.

The media imagine that President Trump’s deficiencies are an argument for not taking his positions seriously. Oh no — it’s just the reverse. The fact that Trump’s supporters implacably stick by him, through every horror, proves they are willing to put up with any lunacy if it means getting that agenda.

How many different ways can Americans express that they want a whole lot less immigration and absolutely no amnesties?

We already tried amnesty once. The 1986 amnesty under Reagan was supposed to be a one-time fix. We’d forgive the estimated 1 million illegal aliens living here and, in exchange, draconian measures would be imposed on any employer ever caught hiring an illegal again — up to a $10,000 fine per illegal and jail time for repeat offenders.

It wasn’t a one-time fix. In another real-world example of “incentives,” the first amnesty led to a never-ending stream of illegals across our border, confident of getting in on the next amnesty. Today, there are at least 40 million illegals living in the U.S. (Eleven million is nonsense — they’ve been claiming that since 1986. See Adios, America)

And now, once again, politicians are lobbying for the exact same policy that was a complete failure last time. When it comes to immigration, it’s always Groundhog Day!

We’re told the DACA amnesty will apply only to a very small, discrete group of unbelievably fantastic illegals — who melt Ivanka’s heart by refilling her water glass at Cipriani with such alacrity!

Not only that, but there will be strict requirements on who qualifies for a DACA amnesty.

None of which will ever be enforced.

Congress has passed laws requiring that immigrants pay back taxes, learn English, not collect welfare and have good moral character. That’s not too onerous, right? It’s not like we’re requiring them to have any skills or talents that would be valuable to America.

Every single one of these requirements has been scuttled by immigration bureaucrats, federal judges and Democratic presidents. All of ’em. Our immigration bureaucracy is so dedicated to destroying America that it’s made citizens of thousands of convicted felons.

If you don’t understand how that could happen, you have no idea how much our cultural elites hate this country. Their governing philosophy is: Anyone we bring in is at least better than an American!

This nation is mind-bogglingly generous. But decades of lies make it impossible for even the most tender-hearted American to fall for this bait-and-switch one more time.

Every politician swears up and down that he wants a “secure border.” But then these same politicians go absolutely berserk when Trump says he wants to build a wall.

They say we’ll get enforcement right after the amnesty. That’s obviously absurd. When the tub is overflowing, water pouring out of the faucet, across the carpets, down the stairs, up the dining room walls, we don’t debate whether we’re going to dry clean the curtains or throw them out. We don’t argue about whether to use a mop or towels. FIRST: Turn off the water. This is what we always do, we discuss the wrong things, pass laws we have no intention of enforcing, and allow the media to decide what’s important in our lives. We are simply sheep and the herd dogs take us where they want to. It’s sad, so sad.

As long as both political parties stoutly refuse to build the wall, we know they are not serious about ever stopping illegal immigration. (Luckily, the Constitution gives the commander-in-chief full authority to protect our borders, with or without congressional approval.)

We know what happened after the Reagan amnesty. We know politicians and the media are lying to us. Why, some of the politicians who lied to us then are lying to us today, for example, Chuck Schumer.

No matter how innocent and lamblike a “Dreamer” they produce to tear at our heartstrings, it won’t work anymore. Decades of their perfidy has made sympathy impossible.

It’s as if, night after night, Paul Ryan knocked on our door and asked us to take in one helpless orphan and, night after night, we crack open our door, only to be set upon by 30 armed felons with tire chains and brass knuckles.

At a certain point, Ryan might actually produce a sad orphan. Who knows? It’s theoretically possible. But we could not be faulted for not opening the door.

Politicians and the press are themselves responsible for thoroughly killing any human sympathy Americans may have had for illegal immigrants — even the “Dreamers” (whom Ivanka adores, but would die before sending her kids to a school jam-packed with them).

The only question is: Will anyone in Washington ever listen?
