Left HS before report cards came out. Enlisted in the Marines for four years. By the time those years were over, I was hooked - they had me for life. Spent nearly ten years as enlisted. Received a Silver Star, Bronze Star w/V, Purple Heart as a Sgt during first RVN tour. Upon returning to the State's received a combat commission to 2Lt. Retired after 36 total years as a Colonel. Book follows my career, but is more about the heroes with whom I served, the great mentors I had, and the leadership principles they instilled in me.

Hello  and welcome to my Monday morning epiphany. How many of you watched the Don’s speech yesterday at CPAC? After having one heck of a time trying to find where it was appearing for viewing, my electronically wizard Bride finally found it on her iPad. I understand it started late for what reason I know not., but it worked out great as I had my Sunday Happy Hour single malt and cheap cigar while listening intently to every word.

I was absolutely thrilled when he called out, by name, the “Slimy Seven,” and even slammed old Liz Cheney, she really thinks she is something. Not! I do believe he hit every point that needed to be mentioned. After listening to him, I have fallen off the idea of a third party; he’s right, the Republican Party needs to be fixed. A third party will never become anything and could certainly pave the way for a larger Dema-scum party. Which brings me to my point.

After the speech, I did  something I said I would never do again i.e., contribute to any political group, My bride and I went to the title website and contributed $255. I know  what I said, but I personally believe in Trump; we need him on the road campaigning for the right candidates, I get it. I feel confident donating to his website. Yeah, I now it’s probably all going to the same pot, but if he is going nationwide for the next two years campaigning for candidates, maybe in some small way my measly $250 may help. We NEED to win back both houses in 2022, and win big to stop all the incredible things Joe has already done to our country and will have done by then.

When was the last time a president spent four years in office, took all the abuse to him and his family, accomplished so much that most Americans don’t have a clue about or the importance of what his administration did and never took a damn dime in salary? Name one.

So, if you feel the urge I would ask you to go to the title website and contribute to rebuilding the GOP.

Semper Fi Brothers and Sisters;

Jim

Got Your Stimulus Check Yet?

Okay fellow conservatives, here’s a test for you, find how many of the “gifts” in the new stimulus bill have something to to do with the China Flu. Ready? Get set —–GO!

Curious about where the Covid relief & is going?  Look it up on the Congressional website for HR 748 from 116th Congress. Here’s the direct link:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/ 116th-congress/house-bill/748

Let’s break this hummer down and see if we can find anything that has anything to do with the Chinese Flu or the pandemic.

American population: 330,483,530

Stimulus bill: $2,000,000,000,000 ($2 Trillion)

Dividing the cost by every American is $6,051.74 The government could have given every person over $6,000, but instead will give $1,200 to each adult under a certain income. Want to know where the missing 96% of your tax dollars went?  Here you go:

  1.       $300,000,000 for Migrant and Refugee Assistance pg.. 147.
  2.       $10,000 per person for student loan bailout.
  3.       $100,000,000 to NASA, because –  who knows?
  4.       $20,000,000,000 to the USPS, because why the hell not.
  5.       $300,000,000 to the Endowment for the Arts – because ??
  6.      $300,000,000 for the Endowment for the Humanities/ because no one even knew that was a thing.
  7.       $15,000,000 for Veterans Employment Training / for when the GI Bill isn’t enough.
  8.       $435,000,000 for mental health support.
  9.       $30,000,000,000 for the Department of Education stabilization fund/ because that will keep people employed (all those zeros can be confusing, that’s $30 BILLION).
  10. $200,000,000 to Safe Schools Emergency Response to Violence Program. Find one yet?
  11.   $300,000,000 to Public Broadcasting / NPR has to be bought by the Democrats.
  12.   $500,000,000 to Museums and Libraries / Who the hell knows how we are going to use it.
  13.   $720,000,000 to Social Security Admin / but get this, only 200,000,000 is to help people. The rest is for admin costs.
  14.  $25,000,000 for Cleaning supplies for the Capitol Building / I kid you not it’s on page 136.

  24.   $9,000,000 Misc. Senate Expenses pg. 134.
  25.   $100,000,000 to Essential Air carriers pg. 162. This of note because the Airlines are going to need billions in loans to keep them afloat  ($100,000,000 is chump change.)
  26.   $40,000,000,000 goes to the “Take Responsibility to Workers and Families Act.” This sounds like it’s direct payments for workers pg. 164.

This information should be shared with everyone on your contact/mail list.

Michael on America

I know not when this video was made, but from some of the dates he uses, I suspect it may a be a year or two old, HOWEVER, it applies even more so today then it did when he made it. What is amazing is that he even made it! I am sure he is not held in high esteem by his fellow Hollywood elites. Anyway, sit back, watch, listen, and learn. Oh, and also enjoy one of my favorite actors.

Anybody figured out what he “thinks” the answer might be? I don’t know but by the way he ends it, he may be thinking third party. Personally, I am of the same belief. I know it would be a tough row to hoe, but it could be done. I believe it with all my heart and soul with God’s help. Have faith brothers and sisters! Have faith

The Equality Act

Folks there is not one thing in this bill that even comes close to equality. It may be equality to the leftist progressive idiots in charge, but it sure does not spell equality to this patriot.  I am beside myself and can’t even imagine what may come next. Please read on and do as Greg asks, write your elected officials NOW. This is absolutely insane. God, we need your help NOW.

UPDATE  2/26: Greg commented that since the Act has already passed the house, phone calls to your two senators are in order instead an email or letter. others to use. So how about some help?

Too often words are used to assuage reality. Verbiage and euphemisms can be useful in certain circumstances, but language should never be manipulated to camouflage wickedness.

The U.S. House is set to vote on the Equality Act. Sounds innocent enough. After all, what red-blooded American is against equality?

The Equality Act is terribly misleading and not only threatens religious liberty, but freedom of speech and rights of conscience. It would make gender identity and sexual orientation a protected class turning biological and biblical truth on its head.

A few highlights of the bill include how religious medical professionals would have to participate in unrestricted tax-funded abortions or lose their licenses. They would have to provide gender-transition treatments to children who would be able to change their gender without parental consent. Faith-based adoption and foster care agencies would be required to place children with gay couples or lose their licenses. Men will be able to claim the rights of women who would have to share all facilities with biological men while competing with them for athletic scholarships. Such an arrangement will also allow pedophiles unrestricted access to children. Churches that rent their facilities for outside events would be required to do the same for gay marriages and other LGBTQ events or face loss of their tax-exempt status, fines, and possible closure. It would prohibit the Knights of Columbus and other Christian non-profits from community block grants unless they accommodate the LGBTQ guidelines including hiring practices. Provided Christian schools do not adopt LGBTQ policies they would face decertification as the act would prevent appeal to the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act (RFRA).

Despite its name, there is no balance of LGBTQ rights with traditional religious rights. The bill should be renamed: The Cancel Culture Enabling and Enforcement Act.

The LGBTQ movement has successfully hijacked the Civil Rights Act, while specifically denying exemptions for religious freedom granted under the RFRA – a bill passed with overwhelming bipartisan support sponsored by then Congressman Chuck Schumer. Today, relying on now Sen. Schumer to safeguard religious liberty is like trusting the dog to find who stole the steak off your plate.

The Equality Act would suppress the Constitutional rights of 97% in the name of the other three percent. Anyone who disagrees or questions is cancelled as a hate filled bigot.

A Christian ecumenical pushback is brewing and is the only way to protect our rights and be the catalysts for a spiritual and moral awakening. The hour is late, but not over. Contacting your Congressional representatives in both houses is a must.

“The Equality Act is, without a doubt, the most radical assault on religious liberty, the right to life, and privacy rights ever packaged into one bill,” Catholic League President Bill Donohue. Andrew Walker of the Southern Baptist Convention, “The Equality Act represents the most invasive threat to religious liberty ever proposed in America and effectively turn Billy Graham into Jim Crow.” President of Family Research Council Tony Perkins called it the “Inequality Act” saying, “It is an attack on parental rights, women’s sports, but to the millions of people of faith in this country, it is an egregious attack on the freedom to believe and live according to those beliefs. It would position the government to lord over churches and other faith-based institutions … for not falling in step with a view of human sexuality that directly contradicts orthodox biblical teaching.”

No institution or person of faith will escape the Orwellian reach of the Equality Act and what everyone will learn is when equality comes before freedom, we get little of either.

Your president plans to fulfill his campaign promise to pass the bill in his first one hundred days and with Democrats controlling Congress prospects are favorable. However, given the Senate’s fifty-fifty partisan split, it would only take one Democrat to break ranks, while any tiebreaker is decided by Vice President Harris. Sure, but what about the seven Rhinos who voted to impeach President Trump? How will they vote?

The Equality Act is another sterling example of how chaos and ignorance reigns when biblical truth is vanquished by a morally and financially bankrupt government. Leftists, blinded by their pride, cannot see how they are rushing headlong into destruction and taking the rest of us with them.

Is this the legacy we want our children to inherit?

Have you made your call to your senators Washington office yet????

Smarter Privates,

but what about the NCO’s

Oh my Lord. What’s next? So, we will have a bunch of privates who have their own idea how to conduct this squad sized patrol, ambush, raid, etc. We are talking about teenagers, 17-18-year old private’s. Lord please help them for they know not what they are doing. What do you think Marines. Oh the joy of being retired! I can’t believe they are doing this at SOI for privates. Please read on and would love to hear your comments. Who knows, maybe I am just an old fart who hasn’t kept up with the times?

Marine Corps seeks to make ‘smarter’ infantry force with new course

Marine Sgt. Alec Escalante, a squad instructor with Alpha Company, Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry-West, moves a chess piece during a class on how chess correlates with battle tactics, as part of the first week of the Infantry Marine Course at SOI-West on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 27, 2021.
ANDREW CORTEZ/U.S. MARINE CORPS

The Marine Corps is ditching some of its formation marches and adding board games to a new, longer entry-level infantry training course aimed at creating Marines who can better think and act for themselves.

The Infantry Marine Course pilot program launched last month at the service’s School of Infantry-West on Camp Pendleton, Calif., where instructors were pictured instructing new Marines on how chess relates to battlefield tactics. The course focuses less on micromanagement and more on individual responsibility, the service said in a statement.

“Rote memorization, instant obedience to orders are good for certain things, and they’re not getting thrown away from this course,” Chief Warrant Officer 3 A.J. Pasciuti, the training battalion’s gunner, said in Friday’s statement. “We’re just going a step further, and understanding that the individual — and a collective of individuals — is what wins in combat.”

The new course was developed over a year and is based on Commandant Gen. David Berger’s plan for revamping the service for future conflicts.

Under Berger’s vision, grunts will be expected to fight in small units that will be highly mobile and independent, and often dispersed far from headquarters. The new course is aimed at giving rookie Marines the tactical and cognitive skills to act on their own, and takes a “fundamentally different approach” than its eight-week predecessor, the Corps said.

“To be more dispersed and more precise, we need privates now that can operate by themselves and don’t have to be told and shown where to go all the time,” said Lt. Col. Walker Koury, the training battalion’s commander.

The unit’s Alpha Company is taking the course first before a second one launches at Camp Lejeune, N.C., later this spring. It’s expected to alternate two more cycles between the east and west coasts before being finalized next year, the statement said.

Already about double the length of the course it’s meant to replace, the pilot is expected to eventually grow to 18 weeks, USNI News reported late last year. The added time and a dedicated combat instructor to lead each squad of 14 Marines allows for more practical application and repetitions, the service said in its statement.

Reflecting the transition from the industrial era to the information age, the Marine Corps’ seeks to shift from creating what Koury described to USNI News as “automatons” to what Pascuiti has called “autonomous Marines.”

“Through freedom of thought and freedom of action … they’ll have a higher level of understanding,” Pasciuti said. “Rather than ‘Do a thing because I said so,’ it’s ‘get to a fundamental end state, and here are the tools that can help you achieve that goal.’”

After initial training on a topic, Marines will be expected to apply their own thinking the next time it comes up. Instead of following itemized gear lists and being marched where they need to be, they’ll be expected to be more responsible for themselves throughout the course.

Playing chess is meant to encourage them to think about their actions in a complex environment. They’ll also no longer be trained in terms of narrow specialties such as rifleman, machine gunner, mortarman or anti-tank missileman, but instead will be expected to be proficient in every company-level weapon by graduation.

“The infantry Marine of the future will be able to do all (the skills of the specialties) and understand when and where that skill needs to be applied,” said Staff Sgt. Jude Stewart, the lead marksmanship instructor for Alpha Company.

During the first nine weeks, trainees will learn individual skills in weapons handling, land navigation and radio communications, mainly using the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle.

Later weeks of the training will focus on testing the Marines’ knowledge while they work in fire teams and squads, learning to patrol over complex terrain and employ fire and maneuver tactics. Students also will lead several force-on-force actions during the latter phase.

“What we have to recognize is these young Marines, through a collective of individuals, will win the day for us,” Pasciuti said.

OKAY, let me have it, tell me I’m all screwed up.
