It’s amazing how much bum scoop exist about this particular medal. I’ve been in groups and heard Vietnam Vets explaining this medal and had I not known better I would have walked away thinking WOW, it’s equal to our Medal of Honor, or at the least the Silver Star. God bless them, I know they are proud of their service to the country and especially since they served during an unpopular time, but still did their part. I certainly applaud that and by this piece I do not want anyone to think I am belittling anyone for their misconception of what this medal is all about. This link takes you to an article based on facts, and the author even does so with a little tongue-in-check attitude. So, if you have any doubt about that nice looking medal (ribbon) that has no large medal for Americans to wear, here’s the facts,

The Swamp Level Drops

I do not watch any news on TV, even Fox disturbs me at times; I do read certain newspapers on line, but to watch the bubble headed Blondes (remember the song? Actually this one is a Bubble-headed Auburn) spout opinions as though they are SME’s and their Bull’s Fecal Matter should really mean something to an intelligent, concerned American is a joke to me. This particular bubble head, thinks she knows more about what our government needs to do its job than anyone else. Click on the link; you have to listen to her. And the two stooges back at the studio are imbeciles, and that’s being kind. They don’t even qualify as being “Talking Heads.” Way to go CBS, keep up the good reporting. How much to do you pay the two studio idiots? Hell, I’m 76 and could probably do a better job of showing the world how stupid I am. Ha!

Draining the swamp has begun. Obviously, these people at CBS never heard of the concept of “Limited Government.”

My concern is are they cutting deep enough…..?? Good for Rex….

Secretary Rex Tillerson Begins Deconstructing 7th Floor “Shadow Government” at Dept of State…

The term “shadow governmentt” is not a construct of critics; it’s actually the term the professional [un-elected] bureaucrats within the 7th floor of the Washington DC based Department of State gave to themselves.

These career political operatives who reign within the State Department openly view themselves as a distinctly separate state governing authority, with no attachment to the policies or objectives of the United States Presidency or any mere elected official therein.

For decades this group has considered themselves “the untouchables”.

They live a life of high financed indulgence including: massive expense accounts, chartered airline travel, swanky cocktail parties, expense chauffeurs to take their kids to private school, seasonally designed home decor – appointed by only the very best interior designers, personal security to keep the commoners away, tickets to the best venues, and reserved seating at elite DC restaurants.

With first rights to the budget expenditures, the 7th floor group finds no indulgence too extravagant for their intellectual elitism.  They demand nothing but the finest because they are the most worthy of the DC professionally privileged – who are more equal than others; and after all, their jobs require them to host and visit like-minded diplomats, and celebrities with exclusive tastes from around the world.

TODAY, this elite crew is collectively choking on their crust-less triangle sandwiches:

WASHINGTON DC – […]  Much of seventh-floor staff, who work for the Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources and the Counselor offices, were told today that their services were no longer needed.

[…]  Two sources told CBS News that Ambassador Kristie Kenney, the Counselor of the State Department and one of the last remaining senior officials, was informed that she will be let go. She is a career foreign service officer who had served as an ambassador under Presidents Obama, Bush, and Clinton. Her staff was told that Secretary Tillerson does not intend to fill the counselor’s position anytime soon. [the Swamp is finally being drained]

[…]  “It is irresponsible to let qualified, nonpartisan, experienced people go before you have any idea of their replacement You can’t do foreign policy by sitting in the White House, just out of your back pocket,” explains Tom Countryman, Former Assistant Secretary for Non-Proliferation who was let go earlier this month.    Countryman states that the White House is displaying an intent not rely on the State Department for foreign policy in that no one will be in place to challenge the edicts drawn up in the Oval Office [by the elected president].  [Reread and digest this elitist’s statement]

Ah yes, who will remain to “challenge the edicts of the Oval Office“?  Yes, that’s what they see as ‘THEIR JOB‘.    Those,.. those… White House vulgarians are merely peon elected officials who represent the far inferior riff-raff types with lesser intellect and class. Oh, the horror of it all.

These 7th floor elitists see themselves as a complete and separate structure of government. They also function as a complete and separate ideological structure of government:  Deconstruction and realignment while simultaneously managing/controlling the amount of damage these internal agents would do toward the larger Trump administration objectives is a tenuous undertaking.

Secretary Rex Tillerson is tasked with taking the corrupt and rotting vehicle down to the frame and cutting out the cancerous rust  This is yet another epic battle with ZERO Washington DC supporters as Trump and T-Rex endeavor through the restoration phase.

We shall now see if the Uni Party (Democrat and Republican together) will try to impede such an effort:

Can’t Fix Stupid

Eleven Democrat Senators represent states where Donald Trump won against Hillary Clinton. Only three of them, Joe Manchin from West Virginia, Heidi Heitkamp from North Dakota, and Joe Donnelly from Indiana, voted for the Constitution-loving Judge Gorsuch.

The other eight pledged to filibuster and vote against the qualified Judge Gorsuch. Most of them are up for reelection in 2018.

  • Bob Casey (Pennsylvania) – 2018
  • Tammy Baldwin (Wisconsin) – 2018
  • Bill Nelson (Florida) – 2018
  • Debbie Stabenow (Michigan) – 2018
  • Gary Peters (Michigan) – 2020
  • Claire McCaskill (Missouri) – 2018
  • Sherrod Brown (Ohio) – 2018
  • Joe Tester (Montana) – 2018

If you live in any of these states, call your senator immediately and let them know that you’ll vote against them in 2018 and help sweep the Senate for Republicans to Make America Great Again.

The Democrats are not in favor of the constitution. Why you ask? That document stands in the way of their globalist dream of world power. They have to get rid of it or beat it down so far that it no longer means anything. That’s why they did not want a constitution-loving Supreme Court Judge. IMHO

Unconditional Love

Carly with her clipped swimmer’s coat

Drove to the Vet today with Carly, our Golden Retriever, and came home without her. We had adopted Carly from a shelter. She had a good life before arriving at the shelter, except for losing her left eye to cancer at age three. We owned a Golden before, her name was Ginger. She was put to sleep before reaching age twelve; went blind, deaf, and then her organs started shutting down. But then this isn’t about Ginger.

Her owner was an elderly man who walked Carly every morning at the same time. When they passed a neighbor’s house, Carly knew to stop at the gate if the inside front door was open, she’d bark, the lady would come out, and give her a Milk Bone. Suddenly, several days passed and the lady had not seen Carly or her owner, but his  truck was there. She dialed 911. Police came and found the old man lying on the kitchen floor dead. It appeared he had fallen and hit his head on the counter. Carly was lying on him; she’d licked his wound clean.

The neighbor tried to keep Carly, but she had two dogs of her own and Carly was what some folks would refer to as an “Alpha Dog.” Reluctantly, she turned her over to a local “no-kill” shelter, she was eight years old.

We lived on a lake with another dog, a crazy Australian Shepherd named Zeke, who was also from a shelter. We had talked about getting another Golden as they are wonderful, loving, friendly dogs, and they love water — we lived on a small private lake. Nancy was scanning the shelters online one day and there was Carly. That afternoon we drove to shelter, took one look at her, and she looked at us with her one eye — it was love at first sight.

Surprisingly, she did not like the lake, obviously her previous owner had never taken her to a pond or such. The first time I took her in the water with me she was scared, trembling. But the inbred instincts took over and in a matter of minutes she was swimming like an Olympian.

When anyone, especially the grand kids, were in the water, Carly was there keeping her one eye on them. Soon , she could not be kept out of the water, regardless of the time of the year. Being a retriever, she loved it when the kids would throw a ball as far out in the lake as they could. She would run, dive off the dock, and return with the ball. Then the fun would begin, she’d bring it back, but they had to chase her down to get it; that was the fun part for Carly.

In our lake, were large fresh-water mussels (inedible I was told, and I never tried). Soon, one of the grand kids found that if they threw a mussel in the water near shore, Carly would walk around on her hind legs until she felt it, then dive underwater and retrieve it. As this new game progressed, I became amazed at how long she could stay underwater. I timed her once  —  72 seconds, longer than could any of the young grand kids!

Carly aged along with Nancy and I. Finally, like he me, she started to show signs of Arthritis, not the typical hip dysplasia found in many large breeds. This past year it became worse week by week. Our Vet in IL prescribed some shots, but was to no avail. Finally the Vet suggested Tramadol as she expected she was in pain. We’d take Carly and Zeke  with us on the morning walks, but as time went on, Carly’s capable distance grew shorter and shorter.

During the past year she became unable to accommodate stairs without some help with the hind quarters. Then it became difficult for her to walk, and to even stand. For the past few weeks, I would wrap a towel under her hind quarters and help her outside to take care of business.

Finally, Nancy and I decided it was time. We drove to the Vet today, got her into the office with the help of the towel under her bottom. I sat on the floor with her as they gave her a shot to relax her.  As her breathing slowed, she looked up at me with that one eye and laid her head down as though to say ‘Bye Dad.”

Then the fatal injection. Her brain and her heart stopped. I tried, oh how I tried, to fight back the tears, but couldn’t.

Why is it we become so attached to pets? Some would say, “their just animals.” No they are not — their family. Animals are precious, God’s gift to the world. They love you so much. I miss Carly so much, but I know she is better off than she was this morning as I all but carried her 75 pounds out to the car. She will be cremated and on my next trip to that house on the lake she enjoyed so much, I will spread her ashes off the swimming dock.  She was 15 years and 3 months old, she had a good life, and she provided Nancy and I with eight years of unconditional love.

Why is my keyboard so wet?

Trust Me – You’ll Love This One

New Travel Arrangements for the Washington Press Corps.

OUCH! Well, I never thought much about this, but now it that it’s  out in the open, I wonder why someone did not question this years ago. You and I both know the answer to that — they were afraid of the 4th estate; afraid they would hammer them in the press, which they did anyway. The saying that comes to my mind is: don’t bite the hand that feeds you!   Now we have an administration that is unafraid of these pompous , arrogant jerks who hammer them all the time anyway. So, let the media heavies pay for their reporters to follow the news. Think any CEO will let them use his/her private jet? Maybe they won’t even pay for first class. No more parties on the plane folks. Lord, I love it! This will surely cut back on transportation funds spent on flights. LOL

Reuters filing en route to Asia showcases the bitterness, anger, and seething rage of U.S. journalists who have been forced to fly First-Class Commercial to cover Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s Asia trip. State Department correspondents are used to the exclusive wide-body private charters of the U.S. federal government’s airline fleet.

Previous heads of the Department of State have flown aboard Air Force 3.  Normally a Boeing 757.  At the very worst Air Force 3 would be a C17 Globemaster.

However, T-Rex is taking a smaller jet to Asia and only one journalist accompanies him.  To make matters exponentially worse, T-Rex did not select a journalist from the corporate stable of the refined and pedigreed media elites.

We can only imagine how Andrea Mitchell must be seething at having to take simple first-class commercial flight accommodations with ordinary people.  The scope of the almost unimaginable horror she has to face will soon pour from her pursed and vengeful lips.  We can predict a retaliatory report soon from the wrath of the ignored elitist within NBC.  This shall be, as they say, epic.  Secretary Tillerson has rebuked customs and norms.  The traveling correspondents will have to pass through customs and passport checks as if they are ordinary travelers.  There is a very real possibility no-one will recognize them or care diligently for their very individual and specific needs.  Can you imagine Mrs. Alan Greenspan flying all the way to Asia from the Eastern Seaboard and having to do that on a commercial flight?  My God, have we really dropped our standards of decency that far…

Oh yeah, the pontificating journalist elites are  pi**ed off.   After traveling with every possible indulgence aboard exclusive State Department accommodations with Secretary Clinton and Secretary Kerry, you cannot even fathom how angry they are right now without private dining, DoS chefs, shaved chocolates and Cristal mimosa.  None of this is me joking.  This bunch of snobs having to fly commercial is unheard of.  They are ready to tear into Secretary Tillerson in every single filed report.  Just watch what you see on TV:

(Reuters) U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is traveling to Asia this week accompanied by only one reporter, a White House correspondent from the Independent Journal Review (IJR), a digital news outlet founded in 2012 by former Republican political operatives. The IJR said in a statement late Tuesday the State Department last week offered one of its reporters, Erin McPike, a place aboard the Secretary’s aircraft on his trip this week to Asia.[…]  The State Department had previously told reporters covering Tillerson’s trip to South Korea, Japan, and China that he would not be taking reporters on his plane and that they would have to fly commercially, breaking with decades of precedent stretching back to Henry Kissinger.  Major news organizations complained, among them the BBC, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post and Reuters.

Things you won’t see when Secretary Tillerson is traveling
